Data Retention

Updated 9 September 2026

This page explains how Qxottic handles active accounts, deletion requests and records that can remain after account deletion.

While your account is active

Qxottic stores account details, profile information, preferences, conversations, uploaded media and service records needed to provide its features. Verification, payment and infrastructure providers also process records for their services.

Account deletion

Deletion first restricts the account and removes it from discovery. Cleanup then removes profile data, owned media and authentication records and requests cleanup from connected providers. A provider outage can delay completion; a failed cleanup must be retried rather than treated as complete.

Conversations and safety records

A conversation may remain in the other participant’s account in a read-only state with your profile shown as a deleted user. Text you sent can remain there; owned photo attachments are removed during media cleanup. Records needed for safety reports, fraud prevention, deletion auditing or legal obligations may be retained with restricted access.

Recovery copies

Database recovery history and backups can temporarily retain older copies after active records are deleted. Qxottic’s configured database recovery windows are up to 7 days for point-in-time recovery and daily backups, and up to 28 days for weekly backups. These windows describe database recovery copies, not every third-party provider’s records.

Requests about retained information

Contact support@qxottic.com to ask about information retained for your account or to request deletion. We may need to confirm account ownership before handling a request.
